Fellow supporters, Tanishq is out with a new ad. But before I get to that, I want to thank you all again for showing your support for my campaign and posting comments. I was amazed to see so many men responding to the campaign. Isn’t it ironic how colourism is indiscriminate - it affects us all. Your support is giving me a lot of strength to take my campaign to the very end. But, we have only just begun. Here’s the update that I’m sure you will find as interesting as I did. A few days ago I noticed that Tanishq has launched a new collection called Lavanyam. And it’s not even been a month since I kicked off this campaign. I’m surprised because it caters to South Indian women and features models with duskier skin tones. Take a look at the picture I’ve posted here. Like all Tanishq ads, doesn’t this one too make an impression? Such is the power of this brand. I have to admit that this ad is a welcome move. But I wish that Tanishq would ensure that every ad features Indian women of all skin tones, and not just the occasional, one-off ad like the remarriage commercial or Lavanyam, their latest collection.
