We need your support to confront local developers - Greg Brown and the other "Peter Martin types" who get local Lawyers and Civil Engineers to lie to get them permits. And especially confront the Directors of Planning, Public Works, and County Lawyers who have, and are currently facilitating and protecting those lies.
It's how the "Good Ol Boys" have been raping Maui's environment and taxpayers for decades.
The culture within Maui County Government and Politics that allows and tolerates this exploitation must be confronted.
That culture is exactly why the County and local developers never acted to prevent the Lahaina tragedy - despite years of warnings.
Chris Salem was wrongfully terminated from his County job because he blew the whistle on Greg Brown's permit fraud and other fraud that over the past 50 years has surely cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.
Fraud that's so far-reaching that our County Counsel is afraid to open that "Pandora's Box".
