The Issue

Ben Lewis, known for his iconic portrayals in productions like 'Love Never Dies.' At only 46 years old, Ben was taken  by bowel cancer, a disease that went undiagnosed until it was too late. Ben was well known and respected in the  Phantom of the Opera community and fans worldwide have met him in the role outside the theatre where as some others have not got to meet him at all and listened/watched the love never dies pro shot with him in it

Bowel cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death globally, and its early diagnosis is crucial for effective treatment. Despite modern medical advancements, many people, like Ben, do not receive a timely diagnosis due to lack of awareness and inadequate screening procedures. According to Cancer Research UK, bowel cancer remains the fourth most common cancer in the UK, with over 42,000 new cases diagnosed every year. Alarmingly, around 16,500 people still die from the disease annually.

This issue is not just about one person's experience; it is about driving change to prevent further loss. By gathering support through this petition, we can urge healthcare organizations and government bodies to invest in better diagnostic tools and spread awareness about the importance of timely medical check-ups.

Please join me in honouring Ben's legacy and name by taking action to improve bowel cancer diagnosis and awareness. Your signature can make a difference. Sign this petition to help ensure that others do not face what Ben and countless others have faced. Let's work towards a future where bowel cancer is caught early and treated effectively. Together, we can save lives.
