After busy end to 2021 and quiet start to 2022 we are glad to be reconnecting again with those who have remained involved and interested in the future of the Wentworth Memorial Church. There are a number of key updates, as many of you will already be aware, that have emerged over the past few months:

•  Following public discussion at the Woollahra Local Planning Panel meeting (16/12/2021), council voted unanimously to refuse development consent for conversion of the Wentworth Memorial Church into a single residence. Further detail about council's decision can be found here. While the future remains uncertain we thank all those that joined us in opposing this proposal and informing council's decision. 
• Following council's refusal, a new development application (DA No. 28.2022) was submitted to council in late January 2022. While this proposal includes a reduction in original excavation it remains otherwise largely consistent with the intent of the previous DA and has now incorporated a significant vertical 'tower' to accommodate circulation between the new garage and the existing courtyard. We implore you all to review the architectural drawings and additional DA documents which can be found here.
