Switch on the AC on Morehead State University Campus

Switch on the AC on Morehead State University Campus
The Issue
Numerous students residing in the Craft Tower, including myself, find ourselves regularly enduring uncomfortable conditions. The sweltering heat has led to frequent episodes of heat-induced discomfort, manifesting in the form of hot flashes, migraines, and related health concerns. The lobby's usual temperature, standing at an intense 96 degrees Fahrenheit, is further exacerbating this issue and becoming a serious concern for the well-being of the student community.
There is a growing body of research underscoring that high temperatures can diminish cognitive performance, reduce learning ability, and increase the risk of heat-related illnesses (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, 2016). As a place of learning and growth, our campus should provide an environment conducive to our health and academics. Currently, it is failing in this essential duty.
It is crucial that the dean acknowledges this pressing issue and takes immediate action. By switching on the AC on campus, we could significantly improve the living and learning conditions for everyone in the Craft Tower and beyond. We must prioritize the health and well-being of our student community. Completely neglecting such a significant factor of our daily lives is unfair and unacceptable. Let's urge the Dean to turn on the AC on campus. Every signature can make a difference. Please, sign this petition now.
