Dear Real Estate Agents, Real Estate Brokers, Appraisers, and Property Managers,

I am writing to you today to address a critical issue that affects us all: the software platform we use to conduct our business. As members of the MLS, we recognize that the technology we use plays an essential role in delivering quality services to our clients and achieving our professional goals.

Despite the current adoption of Matrix as our primary software platform, many of us have come to realize that it is not meeting our needs as real estate professionals. Therefore, I, along with the 700 of us who have already signed this petition, are calling for a switch back to FlexMLS.

I want to emphasize that this is not a decision made lightly, nor is it an attempt to assign blame. Rather, it is a response to the many issues we have experienced with Matrix, which have negatively impacted our ability to serve our clients and work efficiently with each other. We believe that the decision to switch to Matrix was not properly communicated or consulted with individual MLS members, and this significant change should have required a popular vote to implement.

The bugs we have experienced with Matrix during this transition, such as broken saved searches, have been frustrating for all of us. Moreover, the intrusive opt-in policy that many of our clients have had a hard time agreeing to has added unnecessary complications to our work. By contrast, FlexMLS's opt-out policy is more user-friendly, and its superior customer service and technical support ensure that any issues we encounter are resolved quickly and effectively.

In my experience, FlexMLS offers a platform that is more tailored to the needs of real estate professionals, allowing us to work more efficiently and professionally with each other. This is especially crucial in the fast-paced world of real estate, where every second counts.

I and the hundreds who have already signed this petition believe that switching to FlexMLS will improve the quality of service we provide to our clients and help us work more efficiently and professionally with each other. We urge all Realtors, Appraisers, and Property Managers to sign this petition and join us in calling for a switch back to FlexMLS.

I want to assure you that we have not burned our bridge with FlexMLS in this transition. In fact, I have had the opportunity to speak with the VP of sales at FlexMLS, and they are open to working with us again, and I personally would gladly pay the extra cost if that was a factor in the decision to switch back. While I am uncertain whether this petition will bring about the change we desire, it will draw more attention to the problems we have with the current system as it stands with Matrix, and possibly bring forward more positive change.
