Dear fellow supporters - far and wide - fellow Old Town residents, Swindonian's and Ex Pats. We have had signatures today from as far afield as Australia campaigning against the ugly Tower Block proposals. This is amazing!! Thank you!! Each and everyone of you. Please keep the momentum going by sharing this petition everywhere on social media. Tell your friends and family. Distribute flyers and put posters in your home and shop windows advertising this petition. Put fliers through peoples doors, and complain to your local MPs. Enough is enough. We need to save Old Town becoming the next New Town. We want to RETAIN the awesomeness that is Old Town - the trendiness, the historical aspect and its unique character within. The so called Swindon Advertiser will not report on the huge uproar and campaign against the tower block, because there is a conflict of interest. It needs its land sold off so it can move on. That paper no longer supports the true interests of the people of Swindon. It is about time people boycotted that newspaper. Stick to Swindon 24 instead. If we keep getting loads of signatures this can turn into something great for Old Town. If we win this result, would be good to see if we can get some special beer or something commissioned for saving Old Town. Thanks again, and keep rallying the troops! Neil Robinson.
