Hi, The newbuild SMAG supporters are again decrying those who object to the new-build as people who are not clever enough to avoid looking a 'gift horse in the mouth' or appreciate that we 'can have both [a new-build and a regenerated Railway Area]. Again the old, irrelevant chestnut of 'we are not just about railways' is repeated endlessly. The FACT is that if we can have both, why is SBC still not providing the necessary support for the HLF bid for the Mechanics' Institute? This fact speaks louder than any empty reassurances. The online and paper petition still goes on.
