We need a new Superintendent who will work collaboratively with the community on HGD and many other issues. As you all might be aware, a lot of the miseries CUSD is mired in, is due largely to poor leadership and gross mismanagement by our ex-Superintendent. The only way to ensure the board will hire a new superintendent that meets the need of our community is to include key stakeholders (rep of 4 employee groups, CEEF and parents) in the decision making process: from screening of candidates, to interviewing, to reference checking, to making recommendation to the board. It is important that we ALL join hands in demanding community participation in the search. We need thousands of signatures before the Tuesday Board meeting.
