1 week ago, we made this fight public. Not only our fight, but the fight that all these athletes are in. 1 week ago, we brought attention to the fact that Canada is still be divisive, the fight against mandatory vaccination policies is not over. These groups that claim to want to be inclusive, unite Canadians and bring pride back to the flag, are doing the exact opposite. These groups are still looking for ways to isolate, divide, and bully our kids. All youth have been through so much and they are expected to continue to take it, stay silent or conform. They are now taught to not listen to elders, do what you want on an impulse to get an immediate result, with no thought to principal, values, morals or just plain respecting anyone in authority (ie. parents or guardians). For some, sports is the only thing that has got them through this last 2.5 years. Isolating these kids and leaving them with nothing but social media to lean on has shown that we have failed them. Physically, emotionally and mentally these kids need to be around people, be active, be treated the same as every single other child and not have their “rights”, “privileges”, or “childhoods” stripped away for a medical procedure that has risk. With risk needs to be choice. The government does not get to decide what your risk vs benefit is. And producing a piece of paper to give another individual the right to exclude you is not Canada.
