We are also sending this petition and our request for action to the Information Commissioner since the reported "accidental" total loss of survivor testimony is in contravention of Principle 7 of the Data Protection Act; namely that "Appropriate technical and organisational measures shall be taken against unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data and against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal data." Contrary to the statements from the Inquiry, the Information Commissioner's website is clear that the loss does constitute a breach of security.
