There was no election 1997 when David S. Wesley took the bench

David S. Wesley took the judicial bench in 1997 after sitting as a Superior Court Commissioner for two years.  His license was inactive.  The position of Commissioner requires an attorney's license to be active as well as other qualifications.  There is no evidence that he was elected for judicial office or appointed by the governor in 1997 or approved by the California Supreme Court.  Ballotpedia has information that David S. Wesley won an election to the bench in 2016.  He ran as an incumbent.  What is the definition of incumbent?  One who previously won an election!  But what election did he win before 2016?  More importantly, what election did he win in? 1997?  Or, who appointed him in 1997?  Wesley won the election in 2016 because he was unopposed and won because no one else ran against him.  He retired in 2017.  How convenient for him that he retired as an elected official.  Still, the harm that was caused during his 20-year reign is immeasurable.  The harsh sentencing decisions, the disbarments at his recommendations, the improper rulings regarding juvenile matters. . and the list goes on.  Everything he has done must be reversed.  District Attorney George Gascon has a duty to report all exculpatory evidence to a court of law.  All orders of a disqualified judge are void.  Wesley's sentencing orders must be reversed as well as every other judicial act whether as State Bar Hearing Judge, Commissioner, or L.A. Superior Court judge.
