The Mexican Federal Court in Cancun has now ordered the immediate return of my sons to their home in the United States! They are now returning the case to the same local judge in Playa Del Carmen that denied my petition almost 2 years ago and who inexplicably failed to enforce her own court order that I be allowed to see my sons. She has been ordered to execute the resolution of the Mexican Federal Court and told that she will be removed from office, fined, and jailed if she fails to do so. My sons are still not home and, in violation of Mexico's commitment to comply with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, I still have not seen my sons in more than 3 years and 5 months; but this is a BIG step forward. The Mexican Federal Court's resolution also opens the door for increased involvement of Mexican law enforcement personnel in locating my sons and assisting in returning them to their home in the USA. We are adding the local judge to this petition and now plan to share this petition directly with her. Until my sons are finally returned to the USA, please continue to share this petition with others to help escalate international awareness regarding what is taking place here in Playa Del Carmen and to help return my sons to their home in the USA as soon as possible.
