Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi has unjustly hiked the annual fee for bachelor’s courses. In times like these where the whole country is going through an economic crisis, it is sad and unfortunate that this kind of burden is being imposed on deserving students. With colleges demanding unjustified fee, the lack of empathy and money minting attitude of colleges has left thousands of students in a grim scenario.

As we all know annual fee not only comprises tuition fee but it also comprises the charges for services that you use while being on the campus, with the lockdown in place we are not going to college or using any of the services like electricity, wifi, labs, library, etc. therefore why do we have to pay for the things that we aren’t even using? And online classes are not only fewer in number but also extremely futile as most of our subjects require practical approach along with theory.

As a student of the Tecnia Institute of advanced studies, GGSIPU who put in a lot of effort amidst hardships, my position to continue the college would be compromised due to the unreasonable fee hike.

We, the students of GGSIPU demand a significant decrement in the fee and also the option to pay in installments.

I urge all the students to be affected by this harsh decision to sign this petition, so we can make a difference together.
