Thank You & How You Can Help

Dear supporters, 

Thanks to all of you, in just three days we've collected more than 600 signatures in support of our proposal for an innovative medical cannabis cultivation site and retail dispensary at 120 Nantasket Avenue, and continue to build momentum toward bringing year round jobs and much needed tax revenue to Hull. 

Those who have expressed opposition to our proposal are relying on unsubstantiated and disproven claims that seem intended to invoke fear of this legal, highly regulated medical treatment that has been widely recognized as an effective alternative to prescription medication. Hull deserves better and we'll be checking the facts at every opportunity; we've started compiling these myths vs. facts and have attached it here for your reference. 

As many of you know, we will be presenting our proposal to the Select Board tomorrow night at 5PM and would once again welcome your support. There are three ways to show your enthusiasm for our proposal: 

1. Keep sharing this petition with friends and family.

3. Email your Select Board members encouraging them to allow us to move into the planning board process for neighbors and others to learn more about our plans. A sample email and contact information is below.

Dear Selectmen and Selectwomen, 

I am writing today to encourage you to give our neighbors, Sean Power and Jeff Shaheen, an opportunity to move forward in the town’s planning process. This will allow all to learn more and dive deeper into their proposal for the reuse of 120 Nantasket Avenue as a vertically integrated medical cannabis facility.   

It seems, from what we have seen through unofficial meetings, that their plans have been well researched and thought out through preliminary analysis. 

I feel we owe it to our community to explore this proposal further through the planning board for more expert and professional analysis. To stop this idea short of that next step would be a disservice to our community in thinking about what industries will support our economy in the future.
