Hey everyone, sorry for the delayed response regarding SB180 - attached is the letter from the Utah Board of Massage Therapy regarding the version of SB180 which passed (Substitution 3 + House Floor Amendment 1).

In this letter the Utah Board of Massage Therapy outlines several issues they have with the bill, as well state that there are, "other concerns as well" - all of which reiterate the concerns I raised here, and that were echoed by AMTA, ABMP, FSMTB, etc. ie everyone who's job it it to look out for the best interests of the field of Massage Therapy and protect all of us in it.

*for those wondering why they didn't list all their issues with the bill it's because when dealing with legislative stuff, it's best to keep things to 1 page - rather than go through everything.

----------------

Not only does the Utah Board of Massage Therapy see the flaws and issues with this bill the professional association AMTA National headquarters is not given up on this and will be continuing to pursue stopping this bill via a variety of means including petitioning the Governor to veto it.

----------------

We will keep you posted regarding how you can continue to help in fight against SB180. For now lets keep sharing the petition to show Governor we mean to KEEP MASSAGE THERAPY SAFE!
