Hello supporters of WA Comedy and Comedy in WA,

We are pleased to provide a quick update to inform you that we will be presenting this petition to the Minister for Creative Industries, Simone McGurk MLA, on Wednesday, July 16, to explain the current shortfalls in the state and what a dedicated funding pool could do for the Western Australian Comedy Industry.

It will also be a great opportunity to listen to the Minister's feedback, answer any questions, and discuss where they see WA Comedy fitting into the overall creative industries.

We make no promises that our efforts will lead to any meaningful change in the short term, but we will put forward a strong case. Change takes time, especially in WA!
