UPDATE: NFFE Announces NASS Employee Town Hall – November 6

There is another important development in our effort to organize USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) employees.

Matthew Brossard, National Business Representative with the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE), has announced a virtual Town Hall Q&A for NASS employees:

Friday, November 6, 2026
5:00 PM Pacific / 8:00 PM Eastern

Topics will include:

How NASS employees can organize and move forward with a union election through the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA).
How union representation can help protect employees during USDA reorganizations, relocations, staffing changes, and changes in working conditions.
Employee rights, grievances, legal assistance, and collective bargaining protections.
NFFE membership, dues, and the benefits of union representation.
The steps needed to establish union representation at NASS.

Important: There is no obligation to join NFFE or sign anything to attend. Employees are encouraged to participate on their own time and using a personal device.

With NASS facing significant staffing losses and continued uncertainty surrounding the USDA reorganization, now is an important time for employees to learn about their rights and understand how collective representation can help protect their interests.

Whether you have already signed a showing-of-interest form or are simply considering your options, please attend and bring your questions.

Our goal is simple: Give NASS employees a voice, protect our workforce, and strengthen the future of agricultural statistics.

Please share this update with current NASS employees!
