The #ClimateStrike is tomorrow. If you’ve never been to a #ClimateStrike before or need some reminding of how it will make you feel, let me paint you a picture….

• Imagine being surrounded by people as far as the eye can see who share your commitment to climate justice.
• Imagine the best, most colourful placards and banners you’ve ever seen covered in the most witty and staunch messages and beautiful images.
• Imagine speakers who reach right into your heart and take your breath away, who bring tears of joy to even the driest of eyes and fill you with hope like a giant warm hug. 
• Imagine roaring chants which spread that message of hope far and wide across your city or town so that people passing by can’t help but stop and watch with curiosity. 
• Imagine the footsteps of thousands of people marching side by side in our collective commitment and struggle for a world that isn’t gripped by the injustices of the climate crisis. 
• Imagine those on the frontlines of this crisis courageously sharing their stories, and us responding with thundering applause and an unwavering commitment to stand in solidarity with them for the long haul. 
• Imagine live performances that fill the air with visions of a future where all of us are safe and happy. Imagine music that lifts you above the sobering reality of the world as it is now and gives you the energy to keep fighting for the world that could be if all of us stand together. 

Having felt the beauty and intensity of these Strikes several times now, it’s something I want everyone to experience. It will transform you and fill you with energy for the months and years ahead. 

So, will I see you on Friday?
