Support the San Bruno Ceasefire Resolution
The Issue
Sign the petition to push our city council to do the right thing and support a ceasefire resolution!
Since October 7th, the amount of lives lost in and around Gaza has been staggering. 1200 Israeli lives and nearly 20,000 Palestinian lives have ended. Horrifically, with each passing day, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza gets worse as more bombs drop on. With winter here and the threat of disease, starvation, and cold, the loves of millions in Gaza hang on a thread.
With around 115 Israeli hostages (1) still held and thousands of Palestinians (2) arbitrarily arrested, many of whom were never charged, all hostages, both Israeli and Palestinian must be released.
The siege of Gaza has blocked the entry of humanitarian aid (3) which is necessary to save the nearly 2 million Gazans, half of whom are children. The food, water, and fuel must be allowed unrestricted entrance into Gaza so that the Palestinians who have faced nearly 2 months of unending bombings can be allowed to heal.
The City of San Bruno knows itself as the city with a heart. When our Palestinian, Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, Christian, and Jewish community members watch their families torn apart on national television and social media, the city must stand up and ensure that the voices of our community members are heard so that a peaceful and just conclusion can be found while saving as many people as possible
In the face of such unfettered devastation and suffering, humanity must prevail.
Sign the petition to push our city council to do the right thing and support a ceasefire resolution!
