A simple way to help our neighbors — one box at a time.

Many families and seniors in Port Carbon are struggling right now. With recent food stamp (SNAP) cuts and some elderly residents losing benefits, too many of our neighbors are having to choose between food, bills, and medicine.

The Port Carbon Community Food Box is a small, volunteer-led project with a big goal: to make sure no one in our town goes hungry. The idea is simple —

> Take what you need, leave what you can.

The proposed location is the Port Carbon Public Library, a trusted and central spot that’s easily accessible to everyone. The box would be stocked with non-perishable food and hygiene essentials — freely available to anyone in need.
