15 YEARS IN AUSTRALIA. ONE FAMILY. ONE HOPE. HELP US KEEP BROTHER LYNDON & SISTER IVY HOME.
WE URGENTLY NEED 1,000 SIGNATURES TO SUPPORT THEIR ONGOING IMMIGRATION CASE!
For the past 15 years, Brother Lyndon and Sister Ivy have called Australia their home. They have built a life here, raised a family, formed lasting friendships, and devoted their time and hearts to serving our Catholic community.
In 2011, Brother Lyndon was granted a work visa through an employer sponsorship. Unfortunately, the company that sponsored him collapsed, leaving their future in Australia uncertain. Since then, they have endured years of immigration challenges, holding on to the hope that one day they will finally be granted the opportunity to stay in Australia.
But through it all, their faith, resilience, and love for their family and community have remained unwavering.
Today, one of their daughters is an Australian citizen, married with three beautiful children of her own. Another daughter is studying in Australia alongside her husband, while their eldest is pursuing the opportunity to migrate here as a physiotherapist.
Their greatest wish is simple: to grow old surrounded by their children and grandchildren, in the country they have called home for more than a decade.
And to those of us who know them personally, Brother Lyndon and Sister Ivy are more than just members of our community. They are family.
They have generously shared their time, talents, and love through countless acts of service. Sister Ivy, especially, has lovingly prepared meals for our Catholic community gatherings, bringing people together through her warmth and generosity.
They have spent years giving to their community. Now, we have an opportunity to give something back.
WHY ARE 1,000 SIGNATURES IMPORTANT?
Brother Lyndon and Sister Ivy's immigration case is currently under consideration, and their immigration lawyer has specifically requested that they gather 1,000 signatures to help support their case.
These signatures are intended to serve as evidence of the genuine community support behind them, demonstrating the meaningful relationships they have built, their contributions to Australian society, and the lives they have touched over the past 15 years.
This is more than an online petition.
It is an opportunity for our community to come together and provide tangible support for their ongoing immigration appeal.
Although signatures cannot guarantee a favourable visa decision, reaching our target of 1,000 will help us present the community support requested by their lawyer as part of their case.
Every signature matters.
Every name adds another voice.
And together, we can help demonstrate why Brother Lyndon and Sister Ivy deserve compassionate consideration.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
SIGN THE PETITION — Help us reach the 1,000 signatures requested by their immigration lawyer.
SHARE THIS POST — Encourage your family, friends, colleagues, and community members to lend their support.
STAND WITH THEM — Help us show that Brother Lyndon and Sister Ivy are valued members of a community that considers them family.
Signing takes less than a minute, but your support could help strengthen the community appeal being prepared on their behalf.
