The Issue

Who is Impacted?
Right now, too many students in Fort Worth—especially in East Fort Worth—lack access to high-quality, innovative education that prepares them for the future. Families in this area face limited school options, with many middle schools significantly underperforming and offering few meaningful opportunities in STEM and the arts. Today, less than 15% of middle school students in this area are meeting grade-level standards.

Imagine an auditorium of one hundred 8th graders, excited to enter high school. Now imagine that 85 of them are on a path to dropping out or graduating unprepared for college, a career, or military service. That’s not just a statistic—that’s our future. Our children deserve better. They deserve a school that recognizes their potential and equips them to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

What is at Stake?
Without change, we risk failing an entire generation of learners. Students will continue to fall behind, leaving them unprepared for the demands of the future. But if we act now, we can build something transformative: Fort Worth STEAM Academy—a tuition-free, public charter middle school delivering a rigorous, joyful, and relevant education for grades 6–8.

Led by a proven leadership team and backed by strong community partnerships, Fort Worth STEAM Academy is committed to educational excellence. Students will benefit from individualized learning, interdisciplinary instruction, and a real-world approach—laying the foundation for success in high school, college, and careers in high-demand STEAM fields.

Why is Now the Time to Act?
Fort Worth is growing, and with that growth comes opportunity—but only if we act. Educational innovation is not just necessary—it’s urgent. The groundwork for Fort Worth STEAM Academy is already in place. With your support, we can open our doors in August 2026 to our founding class of sixth-grade students.

Your voice matters. Your signature will help secure funding, strengthen our case for state authorization, and show decision-makers that Fort Worth is ready to invest in its future—our children.

Our kids can’t wait. Sign the petition today to help launch Fort Worth STEAM Academy—because every child deserves a school that inspires and prepares them for tomorrow.
