Dear Supporters of the Medical Blacklisting Prevention Act:

There are 50+ million Americans with chronic pain who are being systematically denied appropriate medical care.

Here's how:

  • Doctor labels patient "drug-seeking" or says pain is "just anxiety" or "all in your head"
  • That label gets shared to other providers
  • Patient is denied pain management everywhere
  • Patient suffers, deteriorates, sometimes dies
  • Same records are WITHHELD and hidden from patient - can't prove it's false

This is medical blacklisting. It happens every day. It's currently LEGAL.

The Medical Blacklisting Prevention Act would make this a FEDERAL CRIME:

Class B Felony (up to 7 years prison):

  • Falsely labeling pain patients "drug-seeking"
  • Sharing false labels with other providers
  • Denying pain management based on labels from other providers
  • Withholding records from patients

Class A Felony (up to life in prison):

  • Systematic blacklisting of multiple patients
  • Causing death or severe irreversible harm

Plus:

  • Permanent license revocation
  • Mandatory exclusion from Medicare/Medicaid
  • Patients can sue for damages ($50,000 minimum)

Pain patients deserve appropriate treatment. Providers who blacklist them should face prison time.

Share your story in the comments: Have you been denied pain management? Labeled "drug-seeking" despite legitimate medical need?

Together we can END medical blacklisting.

In solidarity and hope for our future,

Amy
