Judges have a legal obligation to report decisional delays of over 90 days in their cases. When a judge fails to file orders within 90 days of a submitted matter, the delay must be reported and the Judge's salary is left unpaid until they do their job. Investigators in Santa Clara have revealed Mary Ann Grilli and James Towery may be guilty of falsifying their payroll affidavits, for which they could be fired, or jailed .
