For all of the people engaged in family court matters, privacy may seem like the least of your concerns as you battle for your kids and rightful share of your property.
The battle currently raging on about Apple being ordered to give up the phone contacts of an Isis terrorist poses a potential conflict between privacy and public interest , two issues of critical importance in many family law cases.
The issue of revenge porn may bring in other issues related to children. Is it in the best interest to record them , or their calls with only one parent ? We don't see family courts weighing these issues as carefully as they should.
If your child were being abused in a family court proceeding, and secret recordings offered evidence you need, would you want privacy laws relaxed ?
