Santa Clara County has the judicial authority to use public funds, or order private funds to pay lawyer fees for children , even when one parent has no legal representation themselves. By way of example, Heather Allan is routinely appointed and ordered to be paid with public funds, or from the funds of a parent who can not afford their own lawyer. One of the more notable cases is where Heather Allan was asked to leave a case by one Judge, four years later Mary Ann Grilli has allowed her to stay , even though the children are 14 and 17 and the mother has been without a lawyer for 4 years. Wake up Santa Clara County. Wake up State Bar, this is an abuse of process that lawyers can manage only in family courts. It is moral turpitude by living definition and rarely does the State Bar even look at its family law members. Worst of all, in this same case, Brad Baugh took the sale proceeds of the unemployed mother's house, divided a final check to pay his fees and those of Heather Allan ,and returned nothing to the mother. Mr. Baugh appears to have acted as judge and jury when he decided the mother (who had no lawyer and was unemployed ) was less deserving of her house proceeds than he and Ms. Allan . Is this how lawyers are able to use their power and trust accounts in Santa Clara County? Maybe it is time for the SEC to monitor lawyer's trust accounts. The State Bar seems to be asleep at the wheel.
