They are supposed to follow the law. They are supposed to act neutrally in cases where they are paid as joint experts, but in Santa Clara County, while acting as a Referee, Nat Hales took money from a father as the father defrauded a mother, his own child and the court in what appears to be a classic conspiracy to commit fraud. In the same case, James Butera was also paid and has been sued by the mom for negligence, he appears to not have even reported the income that was reported to the IRS. The mom has filed complaints with the CA Board of Accountancy and the California State Bar, but has learned that a year after filing her complaints this duo continues to act in other cases where they appear to be scamming widows and divorcees out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. This crooked CPA and lawyer appear to be seem willing to take money that should go to feed and cloth minor children, letting Department of Child Support Services do a job they were paid $200,000 to do. If judges, county's , the State Bar and other agencies don't protect the public from this shameful conduct. Who will?
