The Issue
I found an amazing woman that I love to death. We have been together for 20 years, sharing our lives and building a bond that is unbreakable. As an ordained minister, I truly believe in the sanctity of marriage and the powerful bond it creates. I also believe that marriage should be a right for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation.
For hundreds of years, love has been the foundation of strong and enduring partnerships. It is an emotion that knows no gender, no boundaries, and no limits. Yet, even today, many are denied the right to legally marry the person they love, simply because they are members of the LGBTQ+ community.
There are nearly 500,000 same-sex married couples in the United States alone (according to a study by the Census Bureau), finding joy in their union and contributing to society in innumerable ways. Yet, in many parts of the world, such freedom is not recognized. Discrimination based on who you love is a challenge faced by many, and it's time to change that narrative.
Granting same-sex couples the legalization and recognition of their union is not just about rights—it’s about embracing love in all its forms. Love is a universal language, and our society benefits when all individuals have the opportunity to express that love freely and legally.
Change starts with us, through advocating for laws and regulations that support marriage equality. By supporting this petition, you are not just standing up for love—you are standing up for equality, for human rights, and for the right to choose who to love and commit to for life.
Sign this petition to support the freedom to marry the person you love, regardless of gender. Let's create a world where love does not face limitations and where everyone can celebrate their union openly and proudly. Let us make a stand and push for legislative changes that ensure marriage equality for all. Together, we can build a future where love truly wins. Your support is crucial. Please sign and share this petition widely.
