Support the Establishment of the Charm City Garden Montessori School (No Donations)

The Issue

Here’s your updated Change.org description with the added context about the 2025 vote and your renewed efforts, woven in naturally:

At Charm City Garden Montessori: A Wildflower School (CCGM), our mission is to cultivate a vibrant learning community that empowers students in grades 9–12 to reach their full potential through individualized, child-centered education rooted in the Montessori philosophy. We strive to create a nurturing environment that emphasizes creativity, independence, and a deep connection to nature.

Our vision is to inspire a generation of lifelong learners who are not only academically proficient but also socially responsible and engaged stewards of their communities. We envision a school where students thrive in a supportive environment, develop a love for learning, and cultivate the skills necessary to navigate an ever-changing world.

We are excited to introduce CCGM as a Wildflower school, set to open in Baltimore City in the Fall of 2027. As a public charter school, we will foster a close-knit community that emphasizes collaboration and support.

At CCGM, we embrace the Montessori method, which focuses on hands-on learning and nurturing the whole child—including the head, heart, and hand. Our curriculum and school culture are grounded in our guiding principles: Care. Cultivate. Conserve. By prioritizing these values, we aim to empower our students to thrive both academically and personally.

In June 2025, the district voted not to approve our initial application. While disappointing, we took the feedback seriously. We listened, we reflected, and we returned with a stronger plan—one that directly addresses the district’s concerns while remaining deeply rooted in our mission to serve the youth of Baltimore City. Our renewed application for the 2026 cycle represents our unwavering commitment to building a school that meets the moment and honors the needs of our students and families.

To make CCGM a reality, we seek your support. We aim to navigate the bureaucratic processes smoothly and effectively, for which we need 500 voices standing together with ours. Your signature is not just a sign of support—it’s a beacon of hope that can transform the destiny of many promising students in Baltimore City.
