This is a project for young people, kids and families who love cycling, in particular mountain biking or BMX, to build a modern entry level to intermediate mountain bike and BMX park in Dorchester.

I love going mountain biking with my daughter but, despite there being a strong mountain biking and BMX community in Dorchester and the surrounding areas of West Dorset and Weymouth and Portland, there are no dedicated cycling facilities for these sports and no grassroots entry level facilities at all nearby.

Dorchester Town Council has agreed on the transformation of the old Castle Park BMX trail into a modern MTB and BMX bike/skills park. However, no matter how good our ideas and plans are for the site, without your support the project will not move forward.

To access funding to move the project forward we need to evidence this support and taking a few moments to sign this petition and add a comment will be a a massive help for our evidence. 

So please sign this petition and add a comment to demonstrate to Dorchester Town Council and Dorset Council that there is desire for a modern BMX and MTB facility in West Dorset.

Also please please share and remind anyone who may want to support the project. The more numbers we have in support, the better the likely outcome for the project.
