Support the Designation of Oakwood Park in Venice as a Historical Landmark

The Issue

Oakwood Park is a Historic Park that is located in the Oakwood Area, the heart of Venice, CA. Historically, the Oakwood area was predominately made up of Chicano/Mexican American and Black families. It is where both the Chicano/Mexican Americans and Blacks share deep roots and history in Venice. Many original families have fond memories of birthday celebrations, Life of Celebrations, weddings, gatherings, cultural events and so on. Designating Oakwood Park as a Historical Landmark not only preserves the history of the Oakwood area, but provides protection status.  Please sign this petition to support the designation of Oakwood Park in Venice as a Historic Landmark.
