Dear Neighbors,

Your support is needed to help bring a dedicated dog park/run to the East New York, Brooklyn community. You can do something about it with your support and voice. Our mission is to show the overwhelming support for a brand new dog park/run to be enjoyed by dogs and their humans for generations to come.

There is currently a huge lack of space for dog owners to be able to let their dogs run off leash in public parks.  There is a great lack of understanding for the necessity for a dog to be able to exercise  and train properly off leash at the people’s park. A dog park/run would give dog owning members of our community a safe, legal space and somewhere to properly play, train and exercise their dogs. Well stimulated dogs tend to be much better behaved and this would mean much less rehoming of dogs and dogs surrendered to shelters.

Our mission is to also request a centrally located dog park/run within the underserved but much deserving East New York community. A dog park/run would be a valuable, safe, year-round amenity  that will add to the exiting growth and vibrancy of our community. The benefits to the community safety affects everyone - not just dog owners and dogs. Now is the time to make a dog park/run a part of our future.

What if I don’t have a dog? No problem! A dog that has proper exercise and socialization is a happy dog and will appreciate your support. As a member of the East New York  community (zip codes: 11207, 11208, 11239), you have a say in what kind of community you live in from how it looks to its amenities. By showing our overwhelming local support we can all help make this dream a reality!
