We, the undersigned, urge Selinsgrove Area High School to continue offering AP Psychology, a course that has long enriched our students’ education and prepared them for the future.

AP Psychology equips students with college-level knowledge while offering the opportunity to earn college credit—saving time and money. It fosters academic growth, career readiness, and personal development by teaching critical insights into mental health, human behavior, and how we interact in society.

This course has been one of the most popular and impactful at our school for many years, demonstrating both demand and success. Its value extends far beyond the classroom: students carry this understanding into their future careers, relationships, and roles as thoughtful members of our communities.

Removing AP Psychology would not only take away a vital academic opportunity, but it would also limit students’ access to knowledge that helps them support themselves and others in meaningful ways. The decision impacts not just current students, but the ripple effects of their learning for years to come.
