Support the Bionic Kidney Now: End Dialysis Dependency! #KidneyNow
The Issue
Imagine being hooked to a machine for five hours every other day—not because you're dying, but because the world hasn't yet delivered the solution that already exists.
This is the reality for over 3 million people worldwide living with end-stage kidney disease. Many have lost their ability to urinate, survived heart attacks, endured surgeries, and suffer severe leg pain with every step. Their struggle is real. Their voices must be heard.
---
🎯 What We Demand:
We call on governments, research institutions, investors, and the public to support the urgent development and global implementation of the bionic kidney—a breakthrough technology that could eliminate the need for dialysis and save countless lives.
Research teams from UCSF and Vanderbilt have already created functioning prototypes of a bioartificial kidney using microchips and living cells. This device filters blood without requiring immunosuppressive drugs and can be implanted inside the body.
The science is ready. What’s missing is global support.
---
✅ Our Goals:
Secure increased funding for the bionic kidney project
Accelerate clinical trials and approval pathways
Involve patients in the innovation process
Ensure equal access to the bionic kidney for all, not just the privileged
---
🏛️ We Address This Petition To:
National and international regulatory bodies (e.g., NIH, FDA, EMA, European Commission)
Private investors and medical technology funds
Philanthropists and health-focused foundations
The Kidney Project and related research teams
---
⏳ Why Now:
Every day of delay means more suffering, more lost years, and more death. We have the science. We have the need.
What we need now is action.
Sign and share this petition to give voice to those living with kidney failure, and to push humanity toward a future free from dialysis.

✍️ Signed:
