There are now just weeks left of the consultation and I am one of 9,000 loyal Sainsbury's employees being given the Hobson’s choice of SIGN OR RESIGN Therefore, I'm asking you to take further action so they cannot keep ignoring us. Please write to your local MP to ask them to write directly to Sainsbury’s CEO Mike ‘in the money’ Coupe and to share our petition. 114 MPs have already pledged their support. Here is a sample letter I have written, or please feel free to compose your own: ******************************************************** Dear (insert name of MP) I am writing to you as a constituent who will be directly negatively affected/ is appalled (delete as appropriate) by the appalling contract changes being enforced upon Sainsbury's employees that will see 9,000 longstanding and loyal staff suffer a significant pay cut of up to £3,000. Sainsbury’s are scrapping paid breaks and Sunday premium pay, they are shortening the night shift, and they are removing the shop floor staff bonus scheme. Those affected have no option to reject these changes, just sign or resign.
