Dear Petition Supporters, We are now nearly 900 supporters strong! An UPDATE – the San Jose City Council is set to again attempt a vote on the Urban Village plans Tuesday, August 8. In June, council delayed the vote on the three massive urban village plans. Unfortunately, instead of reaching out to neighborhoods for more input, resident’s concerns are still not addressed. What can you do? • Join the cities of Cupertino and Santa Clara, and congressional representatives Ro Khanna and Anna Eshoo, and contact the City of San Jose to add your voice. (links to letters and a sample letter at the end of this message) • If you’ve already emailed the city of San Jose, RESEND your letter, and ask that it be included in public input for Tuesday’s meeting (link to list of contacts below). • Send letters to the mayors and councils of Cupertino and Santa Clara, supporting their efforts to express resident’s concerns.
