Latest petition that we need your support in

Dear supporters,

It has been a little while but we wanted to give you a short update.

Since the time of this petition, BART has engaged in an Exclusive Negotiating Agreement with the developer team of East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) and Strada for the Lake Merritt BART Transit Oriented Development. Now will be an important time to keep up the momentum on this petition to make sure BART can held accountable to the needs of the community which has previously offered a platform of affordable housing, affordable non-profit space and support for nearby Madison Park. The work is just beginning on that project.

While that is happening, there has been efforts to raise the profile and visibility of Madison Square Park.  There have been community processes at visioning and designing how new and improved Madison Square and Lincoln Square Parks could help not only Chinatown but the city as a whole.

If you supported our last petition we hope you will also support this petition where we're using the City Budget Process to hopefully secure resources to help jumpstart the process to improve Madison Park for current or future generations.
