Thank you for supporting our petition seeking to have the Department of Agriculture in Ireland reconsider its decision to approve the Horse Sport Ireland tender application submitted in 2022 to operate the mother Irish Cob Studbook and reconsider our tender application submitted in 2022 to operate the mother Irish Cob Studbook

An approved breed society is needed in Ireland that is dedicated to preserving the Irish Cob as a native Irish breed. Preserving the Irish Cob as a native Irish breed can only be done if there is an approved Irish Cob breed society in Ireland that is working to ensure the future survival and success of the mother Irish Cob Studbook in Ireland by looking after the needs of Irish Cob breeders and by ensuring collaboration with the daughter Irish Cob Studbooks outside Ireland.

Once again, if approved we would amongst other things:

• Re-establish good customer service.
• Issue the studbook passports in good time and at a reasonable rate.
• Re-establish collaboration with the daughter studbooks.
