We, the undersigned residents and supporters of our local community, respectfully request the
development of a dedicated Harleston Town Football Community Club venue at the Recreation
Ground (the Rec). Harleston Town Football Club plays an important role in bringing people together
across all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. A permanent community club venue at the Rec would
provide a safe, welcoming space for players, families, and supporters, while also serving the wider
community. The proposed venue would:
• Provide a home base for Harleston Town Football Club, including men’s, youth, and grassroots teams
• Be available for community charities, fundraising events, and local good causes
• Host club functions, meetings, and social events
• Encourage positive activities for young people and promote health and wellbeing
• Strengthen community spirit, inclusion, and local pride
• Make effective use of an existing public space for the benefit of the whole community We believe the
Rec is the ideal location for such a facility and urge the relevant council and decision-makers to support
and approve this proposal.
