The Northwestern Campus lacks the vibrant voice of the student body. Open Democracy Undergraduate belives art tells stories and can advocate for positive change in our community.

Every year we run a participatory budgeting campaign where projects are collaboratively imagained, developed and then implemented. One of our three projects, voted on by the Northwestern community, was a mural on campus that highlights themes of Northwestern, Community, Social Change, Sustainability, Indigenous Recognition, and/or Civic Engagement. (original project poster linked below). Unfortunately, due to facilities building policies that we were initially unaware of, painting an outdoor mural wasn't possible. Our dream for the project now has been to find an indoor space, where we can represent these themes to the student body in a mural.
