This is absolutely incredible! Twenty-five states, including New Jersey, are filing a lawsuit against the entire Trump Administration for refusing to tap into the SNAP Contingency Funds to prevent people and families as well as people with disabilities from going hungry. This is a retaliatory act from the Republican Party to blame Democrats for the government shutdown, which is not true. Republicans are the ones responsible at the helm of Mike Johnson, who continues to lie and double down on everything that the Trump Administration has said and done since entering the White House in January of 2025 which had begun the deeply maligned and racist Republican Party agenda Project 2025, which Steven Miller co-authored.
