Ever want to meet a police dog up close and personal? Madison Police Department officer Carren Corcoran and her K-9 partner, Slim are the main attraction at this month's Midvale Heights Neighborhood Watch meeting.
Join us next Tuesday to learn about the lifesaving work these dogs do, watch an action-packed live demo, and snap some Facebook-worthy pics. This is by far, one of our most popular meetings.
Before ever meeting a police K-9, I was expecting a stereotypical service dog who sat at attenhut. I couldn't have been more wrong. Slim and his canine brethren are among the friendliest, playful, and well-loved pups you're bound to meet. Just regular dogs, except that they work - which to them, is play.
Volunteers with Capital K-9s will also be on hand to sell their popular stuffed K-9s. They tend to sell out fast, so if you want one, I suggest making a purchase *before* the meeting.
Here are the deets . . .
When: Tuesday, February 14 (it's on Valentine's Day, sorry about that) at 6:30PM
Where: Midvale Community Lutheran Church, 4329 Tokay Boulevard. We meet in the basement.
Cost: Absolutely free
Who can come: All are invited, even if you don't live in Midvale Heights.
Let me know if you have any questions. And hope to see you next Tuesday.
All the best,
--Paula Fitzsimmons
