Hi everyone,
I wish I could relive yesterday. The MPD-west appreciation event was perfect - even better than expected. The massive amount of food, the great turnout by police officers & the community, the ambience . . . .all perfect.
And boy, was it satisfying to see Chief Koval, Captain Wahl, and all their amazing officers grinning and smiling.
It's because of the generosity of our individual and corporate donors and volunteers, that we were able to treat the officers in the style they deserve. (The list of contributors is at the end of this update.)
My only complaint? No media presence. Our media guru volunteer, Dave Glomp received several RSVPs, but when it came down to it . . . nada, zip, zilch.
Such an overwhelmingly positive police / community event - yet no media presence.
If you did attend, I hope we had a chance to meet. And I'd love to know how you enjoyed yourself.
Attached is just one pic from the event. I posted more (and will be posting more) at https://www.facebook.com/Madison-Police-Department-West-District-Appreciation-Event-1801217800112227/
