Farzan Athari gets pardoned from Dubai Central Jail after serving 2 years and 7 months. On the 8th of December, Swedish/Iranian model Farzan Athari was released from Dubai Central Jail after serving 2 years and 7 months of his 10-year sentence. After a two year campaign that included a petition that was signed by close to 70,000 people from around the world and his tribute song to the ruler of Dubai “Save My Life” that was written and recorded by Farzan from a phone booth inside the jail, he is finally being reunited with his family in Sweden. His release comes after His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, touched by Farzan song 'Save My Life' signed his release papers effective immediately. Farzan would like to officially thank His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Mr Sami Al Shamsi for giving him a second chance at life.
