Let me share something near to my heart. Too often we paint our politicians with a broad brush, dismissing one party or the other as a whole. However, I stand as an Independent. I've found good and bad in both parties. A prime example of a political gem is Jerry Moran, Republican Senator from Kansas. Another example of a good Republican is Pete Wilson, former Governor of California, as he finished establishing the commuter rail network in Los Angeles (Metrolink) after the idea was first created by George Deukmejian, also a Republican. 

Here I am, advocating for a Republican despite having admired Democrats like Joe Biden. I've also terribly been disappointed by Democrats like Jim Kenney and Phil Murphy. My belief is simple - don't judge the party, judge the individual. 

Why do I believe Jerry Moran is the right person to represent the Republicans in the 2028 Presidential race?

Moran defies usual party choices to look beyond his party lines. He is a prominent supporter of the expansion and improvement of Amtrak, a service millions of Americans, including the constituents in his home state of Kansas, depend on for transportation. He passionately advocates for train service in Wichita and Newton - not typically Republican priorities, but priorities for those who need them nevertheless.

Madam or Sir, it's time to change the narrative. 2028 gives us the opportunity to do so. Supporting Jerry Moran means backing someone who sees beyond party lines, and instead, works for the American people. Let's strive for Moran to be the Republican candidate in 2028 presidential elections.
