Hi everyone
We have collected almost 4000 signatures! Thanks to each and every one of you for your efforts. We have built up quite a head of steam.
Irish Actors Equity president, Gerry O'Brien, this week delivered that petition to Leinster House. The cause has the support of many TD's and those in government, and we would love to expand on that. So...
(For Irish residents/those emigrants with an Irish address only). Please click on this link: https://action.uplift.ie/campaigns/email-your-tds-about-unfair-treatment-for-workers-in-art-sector and follow the instructions. This will generate a letter to your local TD's and make them aware of the report as we head towards the Budget. You add to the letter with your own experiences, if you would like.
The letter includes a link to the report and it will help to make them aware that they have constituents who are engaged in the arts and may have issues they can resolve. It has been handed up to their party leader, so the more people write in the greater the interest. Please share this with any of our colleagues who are non-union.
Once again, THANK YOU for your time, your efforts, and your support. In a time of great uncertainty, the worker is rising again.
In solidarity
Alan
