Letter to the Canadian PM Trudeau: Support Iranian People’s Uprising for #Woman_Life_Freedom
The Right Honourable PM Justin Trudeau
This is a petition to the Canadian PM Justin Trudeau from Iranian artists, writers, and human rights activists in the diaspora residing in Canada, most of whom have been persecuted before migrating or escaping from the so-called “Islamic Republic of Iran” (IRI).
Firstly, we would like to thank The Right Honourable PM Justin Trudeau and the Canadian government for standing with the people of Iran and their cause #Woman_Life_Freedom, condemning "Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI)" for its brutal and murderous oppression, and banning +10k IRGC terrorists from entering Canada. Secondly, we would like to plead for more actions to save the lives of Iranians, as more needs to be done. We are writing to desperately seek immediate action from PM Trudeau and our Canadian authorities as any delay may increase the number of victims in Iran. We express our deepest wounds and worries for recent escalation of mass arrests, torture and murder of women, children, and other civilians including artists, filmmakers and musicians, many of whom are our families and friends, by IRI which is the biggest sponsor of terrorism.
These take place while people in Iran are protesting IRI’s murder of 22 year old girl Mahsa/Jina Amini, one among thousands of victims of IRI’s 43 years rule. People in Iran chant "Woman, Life, Freedom," asking for a) Ceasing the oppression machine; b) Releasing political prisoners; and c) Holding those responsible for Mahsa's murder and violent crackdown accountable; d) a Referendum for regime change to a secular democratic government that would honour the charter of human rights. But their peaceful protest was responded with the brutal beating and live ammunition of hoards of thugs known as IRGC’s Basiji plain clothes.
IRI’s totalitarian regime committed a mass execution of around 5,000 political prisoners in 1988 with no accountability or compensation. Today, we are about to witness worse if no serious action is taken by the international communities and governments. This recent escalation of oppression has caused us to stop most of our work and daily life activities and act around the clock to seek help to stop the ongoing mass arrests, torture, and massacre in Iran.
IRI’s current oppression has wounded the hearts of the international community including over 50,000 Iranians in the Toronto area as shown in their Toronto rally, as also shown in simultaneous rallies in over 170 countries on Oct 1, 2022. We believe in the cause people in Iran are standing for and request PM Trudeau and our Canadian authorities to support us by taking the following actions to provide safety and security of our Canadian and international community from IRI’s evil actions:
1. Condemn the IRI’s violent behavior.
2. Enact Magnitsky Sanctions against key actors and members of the IRGC and IRI Regime responsible for these crackdowns.
3. Deny visas to all IRI officials and IRGC members.
4. Run security investigations into IRI and IRGC-related individuals who covertly lobby for them and/or support them financially, as without their support IRI and IRGC would not have been able to expand their criminal and terrorist activities worldwide.
Supplementary information
Here, please find some of the facts regarding IRI’s criminal and terrorist activities including those that potentially and directly may threaten the Canadian community.
. IRI’s bombardment of schools and refugee camps as well as massacring civilians in eastern Iraqi Kurdistan and Iran's Balouchistan province by IRGC, as IRI's terrorist militia, in September-October 2022.
. IRI's brutal attacks on high school and university students and their campuses as well as arrest, rape and murder of children aging from 10-17 during violent oppression of peaceful protests in September-October 2022.
. IRGC's deliberate shooting down of Ukrainian Flight 752 in which 176 innocent lives including 63 Canadians were lost in 2020.
. Confiscation of IRI’s properties by a Canadian Court in 2019. The money was assigned to the victims of IRI's terrorist activities in Canada and abroad.
. IRI embassy's threatening, terrorist and money laundering activities in Canada that caused the Canadian government to close its embassy in 2012.
