My mom has travelled to Ukraine during the holidays to volunteer in local bakeries, help people in need, and visit my eldest brother, who is courageously volunteering to help defend Ukraine as part of a foreign volunteer force. Because my family is directly connected to this war, this issue is very personal to me. I worry about my family and about all the innocent people who have been affected by this conflict.
