Dear supporters,

Thank you to everyone who signed the petition to save Toowong Private Hospital. The strong community response shows how much this facility means to former patients and their loved ones.

As Labor Shadow Health Minister, I'm calling on Premier Crisafulli to intervene immediately and purchase Toowong Private Hospital and roll it into the public health system - just as Labor did with Gladstone Private Hospital in 2020. These beds are desperately needed in our healthcare system.

Health Minister Tim Nicholls has wrongly dismissed this hospital as dealing only with "low acuity cases" when the reality is they provide acute care and specialised treatments which are not available elsewhere.

Premier Crisafulli must intervene now to purchase and save Toowong Private Hospital.
